You can use this directory to find out about the various services that can further support you as a member of the autism community, whether it is through Education, Health or even Social Support (just to name a few).

AMPARO

A nationwide confidential service that provides short-term or longer-term support to those affected by suicide and by this they mean not just ‘next of kin’ – absolutely anyone who has been affected by suicide.

Their services can be provided one-to-one, to family groups, groups of work colleagues – whatever you prefer and is most appropriate to your situation. Amparo is currently offered by telephone or video link, in person, ‘walk and talk’ or in community venues, wherever you are most comfortable. You can refer yourself or another at any stage of bereavement or (with your permission) other agencies can make a referral on your behalf (your GP, the coroner, a police officer or a funeral director, for example).

RASA Merseyside

A professional counselling and support service that exists solely to improve the mental and physical well-being of individuals impacted by sexual violence at some point in their lives.

They work with women, men and children providing counselling and ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) services in order to empower you to make positive choices in your own life and to help you to begin your journey of healing through counselling and support. All of their counsellors are members of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), committed to working ethically and adhering to the BACP Ethical Frame for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. They are also members of Rape Crisis England and Wales we have achieved the National Service Standards for Sexual Violence Services.

StreetLink

An online platform that connects people rough sleeping in England and Wales to support provided by local authorities and charities. This includes anyone who is sleeping outside, preparing to bed down, or sleeping somewhere not designed for habitation, such as a car.

StreetLink can be used by anyone in England and Wales to send an alert about someone over 18 who is sleeping rough or preparing to sleep rough. StreetLink itself doesn't provide accommodation or go out to search for individuals, it connects members of the public with local outreach teams who will locate the person, assess their needs and offer support to help people access the right services so they can move away from homelessness.
